Supari is a game available on faceboook, it was started by 2 indians from mumbai and is adopted from a a game called "street wars", which is played in cities like New York and Paris.

The premise is quite simple, you get a contract to assasinate someone when u sign up for the game and you must proceed to do so with a water pistol or using water balloons(in lieu of actual grenades of course). The game uses a good faith system wherein both the killer and the target must truthfully update the games administrators on their successes or defeats..The tiwst of course is that while your hunting your prey, you are being hunted as well.It is played day and night , 7days a week.The final player to be standing is of course crowned "the don" and receives all the accompanying fame and laurels. As this game is played throughout the city it does bring an interesting dynamic when compared to the multitude of games available now days on facebook.

Game reviews will always be one persons opinion and they are more subjective than objective. That said my review of this game comprises neither, considering the fact that i have not actually played the offline version of this game which has a large fan base all over the world.Either way if you have the patience for it(not to mention the time...) i would say give it a try otherwise do something constructive with your life!!

Its been a while since iv been here….too long in fact….the last 2 years have been a blur…one moment its my first day at school here (with some amount of trepidation I might add…) the next….well…. school’s over and im left with an abundant amount of memories….

Going to jeddah after the boards was a godsend…..hardly anything had changed….the food had never tasted better…..a few of my old friends happened to be there…..and teens had come down too….all in all….almost perfect…..lacked too many people though….

Getting into a college was a relief…..and that’s an understatement…!!!
The best part is I get to join a hostel….away from prying eyes…..hopefully college will be all that I hoped it would be….

I learned how to ride a bike yesterday…!!! It was unbelievable…iv never felt so alive…I mean I knew it would be fun but OH MY GOD it was far better than anything I could have possibly imagined….

Sanjith rented one for the farewell and kept it for a day more, so after tuition me and altaf took it for a spin…its was a black pulsar…150cc….now everyone I know here knows how to ride one so I obviously felt a little left out…anyway it took me around 15 mins to get a hang of it….but that first stretch of road u traverse is heavenly….

I think I had an orgasm….

Today was just like any other day….so I was wandering around in class during the break when a friend of mine comes over and she says “hey I checked your profile in orkut…..ur an atheist too huh? ...thats so cool…!!”

Now for the rest of the day this really got me thinking….

The thing is I don’t deny the existence of a supernatural being( or god dude….)its just that I don’t care….I cant bring myself to care…maybe he or she’s there, maybe he/she/it/them aren’t….either way i don’t give a tiny rats ass….

Would this make me an atheist….or just another apathetic entity in this already fucked up cosmos……

Time seems to have flown by…its been around 2 months since I properly blogged…and there’s so much to say….

The Goa trip was awesome.....not exactly what I expected though….when you think of Goa you think….beaches, bikini clad women, hippies and the occasional stray dog….at least that’s what I was thinking…

It was excruciatingly hot, so we ended up slouching in our rooms having beer most of the time…peaceful to say the least…

Mid terms just got over today….i haven’t slept in days….finally got some breathing space….

Been having big plans about going somewhere abroad after 12th , preferably the U.S….so much for that idea......

Funny thing happened the other day….

So we’re all in the bus on our way to the mall after school….im sitting on the edge of my seat with my left leg outstretched….suddenly this old dude comes over, turns around and actually tries to sit on my outstretched leg…im like “huh…?????” now this guy is taking his time in doing it…slowly and with purpose….so i obviously get my leg out of the way….but the guy doesn’t seem to be bothered by that and keeps doing what he apparently does best…so now im trying to explain to the guy that there is no seat there….but he wouldn’t take no for an answer….so now his butt is nearly level with the floor and that’s when he suddenly realizes that there really is no seat…..so now he’s squatting on the ground and by all appearances….stuck…so me and this other dude pull him up and give him a seat….

So did he think my leg was a vacant seat in a bus….

or was he thinking…”I don’t think he’d notice….!!”

I’m obsessesed with 24 now….i mean paranoid obsessed….just got my hands on the season 5 DVD…its unbelievable…

Mid terms just got over yesterday….i really screwed up this time…ill probably flunk in physics….but on my defense there was a ridiculous amount of portion for a mid term…..and I kinda left it for the last min.....( that’s an understatement……!!!)

Went to see superman returns yesterday with the gang……I liked it…..it was better than I expected anyway….

Decided to do electrical and electronic engineering at a good college here….and then go to the US and do a masters in either nanotechnology or if not, something else…got the idea from moms brother….

Im telling you people, if any of you came back to Jeddah now you’d be shocked at the changes that have taken place around here….humongous malls are sprouting up overnight….seriously….!!!

went to mega mall the other day….un-be-live-a-ble!!!! Its stunning to say the least….
Its got your typical classy brands, includin a really nice ice rink, a really fast gocart track, etc etc , basically the works….

I don’t get it…lived here 14 years and just when we all leave, Jeddah suddenly becomes a helluv a lot more interesting…crap….talk about some really bad luck….

Kairali sports took place on Thursday and Friday….same place as last time….it was ok…

This times was actually really different…everyone was divided into 4 houses, your typical blue, green, yellow and red. There was football, volleyball, throwball, includin your typical field sports, yada yada…

Basically each house gets points when they win something…..definitely a good change from the usual system….

The flight to Dubai was awesome…got to see aeon flux and crash….aeon flux was a total waste of time but then crash…now that was worth it….

Dubai was awesome…I loved it! im not sure what I loved more, the airport or the absolute sense of freedom….

And so I reached the Jeddah International Airport…everything was going on fine and so I reached the final security check and then…WHAM!!! The door is slammed onto my face….
They take my CD case which has basically all my music and system CD’s and also they take my passport….ouch…that last one hurt…in the end I had to wait for more than an hour outside this guys office who was way to busy watching football and reading the newspaper to bother….mom nearly fainted cause everyone had left except me…hmm…guess I better get used to that again….

Anyway im here now…

Well the practicals went better than expected….though the viva part wasn’t that great…I just pretty much opened my mouth and went “hmmm….hmmm…hmmm……pass….”

But of course the final exams start in a week…..just when I thought I could take a nice long break…..
Went to play pool today after the exam…..now that was really nice…

I’ll be leaving for Jeddah on the 25^th of this month, right after the exams get over which finish a day before….chech will only be coming on the 7^th because of her exams…we’ll be coming back mostly on may 5^th …cause my 12^th classes start then.....crap….and I’ll be joining entrance classes this year too….beats me how on god’s freaking butt hole im supposed to do both simultaneously……then again I guess I’ll take one thing at a time…

Ok ppl….i got some bad news for you all…..i have NOT broken my leg……….devastating news aint it?? But keep your hopes up...im still young!....

So the assembly just got over and we’re all going back to our dilapidated classrooms…when my ass of a P.T teacher calls me and another guy and makes a questioning gesture to our shoes…mine were plain white and he says “you not know what shoe????” im like “huh??” so anyway in the end it turns out I didn’t wear the right “type” of white shoes….fucking jackass….makes up his own rules and expects everyone to know them with his infallible English…(i meant that sarcastically) So after we both decipher his extremely sophisticated linguistics….he tells us to remove our shoes and walk around the rest of the day barefoot….

So I get in class barefoot…and ma’am is like “where’s your shoes??” so I reply in mock horror “good lord where are my shoes???????” that got a few laughs…ma’am gives me a look that says “gimme a break will ya” after which she asks “were you punished?” so I say “hmm…that does ring a bell”….now that ticks her off…so she tells me to meet her after class…...come on lady, I have a right to be sarcastic!!

a classmate of mine, zac got a scholarship to study in singapore, the guys a fucking genius...anyway he threw a party last night, since all my friends were there it was fun. as usual mom was reluctant to send me out at night, shockingly i came back , apparently in one piece.....

anyway we're all plannin to go to veega land tomorrow, iv somehow convinced mom in sending me,(im still kinda suprised she gave in though....)

exams are in a week and i have a ridiculous amount to study in physics...no kidding....and nothing even remotly makes sence....no suprise seeing what a bitch i have for a teacher, iv thought about taking up tutions but i already have maths and chemistry, so im kinda reluctant to start a third....frankly iv had enough of tutions from last year!!

so im in chemistry tutions today, not listening to a word of what ma'am is saying....when i hear almost sub consciously something about "promoters activating catalysts...." and in my head i see dee dee going to dexters lab and saying "ohhhhh....what does this button do?".....and then sanjith wakes me up (i wasnt exactly sleeping...but...) and says something and i start to laugh and for some reason i cant stop and when i look neither can he(we're not that loud though...it was sorta silent...) so we keep laughin for like half an hour(aroundish....)and of course our ma'am is completely oblivious of this and when we finally do shut our arse's up....both our voices were horse and i could hardly talk for a while....

well aside form the weird laughing session its been a relatively normal day in malluland.....

had fucking school on saturday...and they didnt teach anything either, except for physcics...and i have finally realised what a bitch she is....

so i just bought a book from the school store since i lost my maths note....and walked in class 10secs after ma'am did....as soon as i enter she looks at the book and says in a very angry tone "akhil,why do you have a new book for physics everyday??", now this dosen't make any sence what so ever,casue iv been having the same book for the whole term and anyway,

anyway i reply in the most sarcastic tone i could mustter, "you sure about that ma'am??", everyone laughs for some reason(yeah they laugh at anything these days....) now that pisses her off in immense propotions (there's a flashing neon sign above her head that says so....)so she gives me a prolix speech in what she considers a very "dangerous tone" , which basicly includes quite a few threats of throwing me out of the class, yada yada, blah blah blah...if i back answer her again....bitch....she's been havin a go at me every chance she gets for the last couple of weeks...seriously...and i always say something back but this is the first time she gets this angry...
i know it ain't the notebook that pissed her off....must be something about me that she just cant stand....

it's a big mess in school...all because some girl informed the teachers that the boys were bringing mobiles and CD's to school.....silly hag....well obviously they conducted a raid....and the first one ever conducted in toc h too (i found that very suprising!) well they started with 11D, which was unfortunetly a smart move...since they were housing pretty much all the people who were bringing CD's and stuff....luckily at that precise moment our physics teacher walked out of our class in a fit of rage because we wouldnt keep quiet (yeah...we do that ppl...) so we found out about the raid and spread the news and finally when they reached our class we were spotless...in a manner of speaking. The checking was quite elaborate, still they they didnt find the hidden stuff in our class...

that was a week ago....they unfortunately had found porn and mobiles , the mobiles were no big deal but the porn was a serious problem....now we're waiting to find out who all gets suspended....also they cancelled our excursion this year and our games period , cancelling our excursion is a big hit, we dont get one next year and it was going to be a 5day trip.....
there's still a ray of hope...its not till feb....who knows...maybe they'll change their mind in the end....
still....i hate having to rely on something as flaccid as hope...

we got 3rd for the play in chaitinya(its the annual inter school competition held by chinmaya school...quite a few schools have annual competitions like that...) we were happy though....nothing went wrong...but neither did anything go right....for one no one understood our jokes (which were actually quite funny....atleast it sounded funny when we practised...) and the mike systems wer'nt that good either...so most of the time, nobody heard us.....

but overall the trip was awesome, around 7 schools participated and theere was a dj in the ground who played pretty good music.... and i met noel (joy sir's daughter) there too....
the campus at first sight is ...well...brown...everything seemed to be barren and brown....but the school was way better than toc h's....

5 exams on 3 days....i dont really understand there concept...sure its fast...but it also means sleepless nights...especially if you left every thing for the last minute....

Well I did have lots to blog about….but I’ll have to cut it short a bit…
Exams finished on the 7th and we had onam vacations till the 19th….which were not that bad since appa was here….oh and he left on the 19th…. he might come for a few days in November…..and his blood pressure really increased during the vacations(he got dizzy and stuff....) and mom seriously freaked out….

During the vacations there was some voltage problem in our flat and because of that we lost around 8 bulbs (and these were like 180rs each…..appa didn’t take it too well.....) 3 cordless phones adapters… my laptop speakers which appa had brought from Jeddah….and my laptop adapter….yep…..that’s right…oh and u don’t get it here…..ouch…very ouch….so appa was thinking of buying it from Jeddah and bringing it in november….which meant I wouldn’t be able to use my laptop for a very long time….
So in the meantime rajesh uncle gives me his spare laptop…which unfortunately was a 1997 model….having a windows 95 operating system…(funny…i didn’t even know they had laptops then….).
Anyway just for the fun of it I thought id try its adapter on my laptop and Holly Jesus it actually works….i did not think an adapter made for a laptop of a diff. company 8years ago would work on mine....i really really did not see that coming….
oh and we went on a 2 day trip to munar with rajesh uncle and family…it was fun…really peaceful….and the views up there were awesome…..
And I finally got my net back....we were supposed to get vsnl’s broadband connection ages ago but in the end they said they couldn’t bring a connection over to our apartment….(damn them….) so we had to settle for a dial-up connection…and I thought I was finally rid of that…..

went to see ravi uncle a week ago....always feels good to see someone from jeddah.....and got to see the new born baby!!!.....

Appa is finally here….came today morning.....this house is dead without him….
He didn’t buy the 60 GB ipod from the Dubai duty free shop like he planned too….sigh…..but…he’s decided to buy one, so I will get it eventually…the only question is when.....

Last week this uncle, Freddy uncle whom iv never met before from Kuwait came and stayed at our place for 2 days with his family, he was so cool...really fascinating person to talk too…and we all had some real long talks…we all being me, chech and his daughter ankita (who was really sweet too…..and she’s in 8th) and he was so damn free with us…was really sad when they left…

Ist term exam starts this 29th and ends on the 7th of September…..i have seriously got to think about studying!!

Had open house yesterday at school…and god was it a pain in the……..

So me and mom are waiting outside my classroom for our turn…when I notice how long my class teacher is taking with each parent (bad sign….).
Well when we finally do get in, she’s all friendly and blah blah blah for like 5 seconds and then she gets to the point…”he’s not taking it seriously at all” “im not happy…” “u have lots of potential but…sigh….”. She goes on and on and on for well, a long time (I kinda lost track…) in the end I just wanted to pound on her….i mean come on gimme a break…it was only my first mid-term….
Of course this was a wake up call for mom….every chance she gets she starts her usual mutterings and stuff……….sigh.....

Seeing the body on the floor got me freaking…got out of there as fast as i could…definitely the most depressing place iv ever been too…and depressing is a huge understatement…

It must have been pretty hard for appa…losing a close friend from college is not exactly easy is it??...and vinay uncle left 2 kids behind…the son I think was around chech’s age...and the daughter around mine…not a very comforting thought….

The daughter found her father cold and dead at 3 in the morning…and she was all alone(they were in Muscat…mother and bro in india…)…cant even imagine what she went through after that…

Chech got really emotional after seeing the body…I don’t blame her…that was my first corpse too…and lets face reality…the odds of that being the last one are pretty slim aren’t they (unless of course I take an early detour….).

Guess everyone has to go through them…paints a pretty bleak picture huh?

Hey aku. Hope everythings cool over there. Sorry I counldn't mail u sooner. the last few days have been unbelivably busy. Theres a wholotta good news and no bad news(finally!!). The first thing is that chetta got admitted to a college. His college will be startin at about the 25 of august. The second bit is that i got admitted to a cool school and it starts at the 4 of august. the 3rd bit is that the everythin is o.k. with the apartment and we'll be movin in 2 days. The forth bit is that papa and chetta passed the drivin test. We'll be mostly gettin a camary or the i think a 2004 honda acord(yup were continuin with the curse).anyways eveythin cool here and i hope i can mail u soon.O and the last bit is that(follow the chat) Hip Hip Hoorayy King Fahd's dyin.

Yo Akuji man. wazzup? hope everythings cool there. Tralalalalala.I'll tellu u 1 thing flight was as boring as hell. it was as interesting as looking at a buck of water,the flight was crap(with a few exeptions). the food was Ok and they show'd some cool movies like Hitch, Robots andGuees Who But the Plane wasn't as comfortable asEmrates or Singapore air lines. Now that were here its cool. the roads are unbelively calm and the climate is HOT. I've enrolled in a school called Durant and it seems cool. 1 thing's for certain the thing is HUGE(especially since it's got only the 9th,10th,11th and 12th grades). It'll b like 2ice as big as IISJ. We also wen't to get our social security numbers, if all goes well we'l get it in 2 weeks. O we also found out a flat. The place is cool and its bigger than our old flat. It looks good enough on the outside but we'll only get to at the flat in 2 weeks(the dudes wanna clean the place up before they show it to us). So far Ilike the place, it's got a compound look(O and its gotta pool :-) ). anyway I miss ya'll. I really really do.

I gave my PS to a 6 year old cousin today...and fuck that hurts…
That beautiful piece of machinery has been with me for over half a decade…iv spent countless hours in front of it…whenever I got angry or was in a particularly malicious mood id play a tough game, put the hardest setting and kick the bad guys ass’…id vent my anger through it…might sound dumb…but its worked more than once…
Agreed iv not been paying much attention to it lately…but im out of games…the PS2 has made it obsolete…but I still wanted to keep it…

I pity the people who think video games are childish…their naïve…people think its only for kids….its not…its really not…most games these days are targeted for people between the ages of 18 and 25…and these are the true hardcore gamers…
I haven’t lost interest in video games…not one bit…iv just lost that flare for playing each and every game that I get my hands on…iv gotten pretty picky…

I started saving since I was in 2nd std…my aim was to buy a PS…but appa bought it for me when I was in 6th …but I still kept my savings…my next aim was a PS2…I needed a lot of money for that…now after 9 years of saving I can afford it…iv got around 11,000RS…more than enough…I’ll even have a small amount left (2000-3000)…I could have bought one…but something stopped me…I guess I didn’t want to spend ¾th of my saving in one go…so I decided against buying it…
I’ll keep saving…put most of it in a bank at the end of this month…who knows…maybe I can put that money to some real use in the future….

The speech went well…but seriously…it was boring…I mean I almost slept through it myself…sheesh…

Today’s chemistry practical was as usual…awesome…its so much more better than over in Jeddah….i mean they never let us handle the chemicals and stuff…here on the other hand….its all ours…makes u wonder doesn’t it…
As usual me and this guy altaf start mixing chemicals into a beaker…nothing new…lots of smoke…the usual...its a wonder we never get caught…

Oh and there was a catfight in school…ok so they didn’t exactly fight…only sweared a lot…but still it was fun…
It was during the lunch period…im talking to someone…when somebody yells something incoherent…then I hear a lot of yelling and cheering…I rush out and find 2 groups of girls (around 3 each I guess…) shouting and swearing at each other…we were all cheering them…but it ended too soon…because of the teachers...i was fun while it lasted though…

And I started going to maths tuition today…im seriously lost in class...went to this guy called…”Chacko sir”…that’s right.........well…I guess I wont be going there anymore….i didn’t like the way the guy teaches…I mean my maths teacher in school teaches better than that…and chacko sir is old…pretty old…wheezing voice…and that was the most depressing tuition class I have ever been too…seriously…

But…before my chance even came today morning in the assembly, it started to rain…hehe…suckers…so its tomorrow….and the other day I had read out my boring speech to my class teacher and she tells me that I got to by heart the dumb thing….crap….
So what am I gonna do…actually I could by heart it…I sort of actually did…but what the heck, where’s the fun in that??...and what the fuck are they gonna do if I don’t by heart it…kick me out?????

Oh and about the badminton game…hmm…so much for being in a team…we lost before I could even play a game…
It was green house versus yellow…and yellow house have got seriously good players…well…it goes like this…one single game…then one doubles…then another singles…and well I was supposed to play the last game…oh well, i didn’t have to play that in the end… cause we lost the first 2 games before it even started….it was a massacre….crap…

Friday is the most boring day in school…long, strenuous, and fuck its boring….but last Friday was sort off…well...it was a challenge…
it was the day the science club was being inaugurated (the school has lots of clubs…pen pals club, interact club, etc etc.). so the first period was free cause it was chemistry and she had to go to set the auditorium and stuff…the inauguration was gonna start on the 3rd period and only if the class gets permission it can go…we begged our computer science ma’ and finally she allowed…so we’re all happy and turns out only us and another class got permission…now the thingy starts…introductions are made…then the chief guest (some hot shot mallu scientist or something…) gets up to the podium and gives a speech….obviously everyone expected it to be like a 10 minute one…15 mins go by….20…30…40…50….an hour…now the teachers are all lost on why this guy doesn’t shut up…so are we…lots of guys even slept off…this guy next to me was in deep slumber…and the worst part is this guy’s speech wasn’t even remotely interesting…he was talking about lasers and photonics most of the time (I think photonics was the main topic…) after an hour he asks us if we have any doubt…most of us were like…”what the fuck does photonics mean??”!!!!

oh and I got selected for the green house badminton team…my first match is tomorrow (I think…)

We had a party here yesterday for chech…for her b’day…just chech’s friends…12 of them…usual stuff...
it was ok…tried seeing 2 movies…first pulp fiction but 5 mins of that and everybody got bored…then tried the terminal…that lasted for like 2 mins…

oh and I finished reading the godfather…it was just awesome…and iv got to admit, the movie does do complete justice to the book (at least I think so…)…

Every month there’s a bulletin board competition for every class…the class has to fill it and one person has to explain the topic to the judges…so the first seven roll numbers were selected to fill it this month...which included me…what darn luck...and I was actually given the responsibility for selecting a topic…I mean come on…but …the first chance I got I dumped the whole thing on abila….now she’s the leader…hehehe….but wait…before I knew it I was given a chart paper and I was supposed to write about water pollution…the topic chosen was ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION!!!!...hello!!...news flash…THAT’S BORING!!!...and everyone HAS to do something…so I said “can I do the explanation instead of the chart”…she said “sure”…I was happy…I mean I thought the judges would come to class and all I had to do is stare at the chart and say stuff right…WRONG!!! Cause my class teacher called me to confirm that I would do it and well…turns out iv got to say this in the morning assembly and I have to actually make a speech on my own about ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION…fuck…screw this…I have no interest whatsoever…I mean u give me the speech and I’ll say it…I don’t mind…but I am not going to sit down and make a fucking speech about you know what …basically im just lazy…oh and I have to say it tomorrow…crap…

I joined the library yesteday…it’s a pretty good one…got Clive Cussler’s Pacific Vortex and I GOT MARIO PUZO’S THE GODFATHER!!! Iv been dying to get that one….

Today was one of those jam packed days…avi woke us up at 7:00 IN THE MORNING!!! I wasn’t mad though…he was finally in town and said they’ll drop by later that day…

Then had to go visit some old friends of appa’s and mama’s at 10:00…it was actually nice…this old dude was really interesting…
After that rushed back home at 11:30 to get ready for a wedding of some relatives…actually the wedding started at 11…we went at 12…it was extremely boring…the only good thing is that we left by 1:30…after that we get a call from sherly nt (sunny uncle’s…)saying that they’ll be coming over soon…
It felt good to see a familiar face…Melissa was bitching about her hostel….apparently all the sisters running the place were evil…

At around 4p.m avi and all came…god it felt good to see them all…it was so much fun…brought back so many memories…we were chattin and goofin around and taking pics…got an awesome one of avi’s puppy dog face…I posted a couple of pics in monkey pics too!!! They only stayed till around 6…I think…however long it was…it wasn’t enough…it felt too short…but im happy I at least got to see them all…
Felt kinda empty when they left... already missing them………

We had to go for rajesh uncles (remember? appa’s close friend…chech’s guardian…) son’s b’day on Saturday…it was at casino…god it was boring…we hardly new anyone there…and we didn’t have any choice…he’d feel bad if we didn’t come… (not the son…he’s just 3 years old…)but the food was good…
He spent 50,000RS on this party…I mean what the fuck is the point…the kid wont even remember this…then again it is understandable considering the fact that they had a baby after 17 years!

i finished reading Jeffrey Archer’s “Kane And Abel” today…god it was good…felt like kicking myself for not reading it earlier…and to think iv been having the book for like a year…almost anyway…

and there’s no school tomorrow because of the strike…
it was the 7th period…computer science…then the notice is given to miss…before she even starts reading it we all start hooting and clapping…ah yes…what would we do without our faithful hartals…and tomorrow was a particularly boring day…hehehe…
im gonna laze around and watch movies…I got “Mr. and Mr.’s Smith” and “Red Dragon”…the 3rd part of “Silence Of The Lambs”…I seriously liked Anthony Hopkins in both silence of the lambs and Hannibal…

I was planning on joining a library this Saturday….alas we have a damn wedding to attend...i hate weddings…if its somebody I know and all I’ll be glad to go…but this is some cousin or uncle or someone that even chech doesn’t know!! And im dying to get my hands on some book...

The assembly is going on in the grounds …it’s a beautiful day…peaceful…the kids are about to sing a prayer…we’re all standing in lines in the open ground facing the corridor in front of my class where the assembly is being held...it starts drizzling…nobody seemed to be bothered by it…personally Id welcome a downpour...i was just thinking about it when the principal (he was a wing commander and stuff…just joined this year…) takes the mike and asks “is it raining???”………..the drizzle becomes a heavy downpour in like 2 seconds after he says that…for a second everyone just stood there….then the principal yells “DISPERSE!!!!!!!!”….it was chaos after that…everybody just started screaming and running here and there…I stood there for a couple of seconds letting the rain soak my face…why were they running away I wondered…it felt so heavenly...immersed in my own thoughts i went back to class…

First day of school wasn’t that bad...im in XI A…everyone’s friendly and stuff…I liked the class teacher a lot…she’s taking chemistry, teaches well!....computer science teacher was also really good…pretty young…id put her at around 25..give or take a year or 2…
I don’t like the Math’s teacher…she gave us homework on the first day of school!!!...crazy old hag…and she’s way to serious….haven’t seen a smile yet…
Physics teacher was ok…extremely malluish…

Made a few friends…a guy called zac (chechs reaction was “THAT’S A DOGS NAME!!) he’s been in toc h since LKG so I ask him most of my doubts…which basically includes “how strict are they…” “are they very particular about our uniforms…” “which way is the bathroom???” “how is the CANTEEN here????????”….and so on and so forth…

There was also this new kid from ooty…sanjit…I got along with him pretty well 2…(I don’t know why but for some reason he reminds me of avi!!!!...maybe it’s the ooty thing…)

We had chemistry practical…it was fun…not like in Jeddah…we get to actually do stuff for once. There are 2 people in each table….my practical buddy is a girl called Abila (had to ask a couple of times to remember that…) she was really friendly, been in the school for 12 years….

Remembering everyone’s name became a challenge…I got a lot of names….dont remember any though!!!....

Oh and in the last period…just before leaving our class teacher calls all the new kids out (which obviously includes me…) and tell us that…WE HAVE TALENTS DAY THIS MONDAY AND ITS COMPELSORY FOR THE NEW KIDS TO TAKE PART!!!! (its actually just for the new kids!!)
I have no idea what to do….im talentless…crap…

Appa left today morning…crap…this place is so depressing without him…its lifeless…
He might only come this September next…almost 3 months…but I bet its more difficult for him than us…which isn’t a very comforting thought…

The last 3 days with him have been awesome…went to dinner with rajesh uncle twice (appa’s college friend…really close…sort of his best friend) and that’s always fun…and the day i had my interview in toc h and stuff, well when we found out the interview was that day itself we all sort of freaked out and appa sent our driver Ambadi(yep...thats his name...he's actually just a kid...sort of...) to pick up mama(she wasnt with us...) and well the interview got over five mins. after we sent him off..so we took an auto and got home..and suprisingly enough he hadnt reached yet...now appa got really worried and stuff...but ambadi came after around 10 mins...appa was standing in front of the building with his hands to his hips...hehehe the guy looked really scared...and then appa started scolding him for not telling us where he's going and all (cause it turns out he went to have a quick snack...he didnt have breakfast...the poor guy was hungry...)...after that lil incident we went to check our sky line villa construction...and turns out that they havent touched it in over 3 months...appa was furious...he exploded on some guy who was working there....hehehe...i love it when im not in the recieving end of those (im evil remember...) then we went straight to their office where appa let it out at the person who was i think in charge of our villa and stuff (i think her name was anny...) again that was fun...appa didnt really get angry he was just saying how dissapointed he was and all....hehehe...me and chech were trying to suppress our giggles..overall that day was really fun...

Was thinking today how much things have changed…and how they’ll never be the same again…I should probably stop thinking about that rgt?…then again im completely jobless here…I guess things will be kinda better once school starts…im actually looking forward to it!

Appa came last night…thank god…this place is like a graveyard without him…
Today was kind of a hectic yet fun day…woke up at around 8:30 and me, chech and appa went to a school called TOC H (I had given applications to 3 schools…choice, toc h and bhavans…)
well…we went to the school cause the list of applicants selected were released…and my no. was 125 and the my interview was on 4/6/05 at 9:30…now what day was it again...oh yeah…THE INTERVIEW WAS THAT DAY ITSELF!!!!! And it was already 9:45…luckily the interview hadn’t started yet….see now we were in a dilemma…our first choice was choice (the school choice…duh…sheesh…bah humbug…) and another problem was that if I got admission in TOC H i would have to pay RS16,500…and obviously if I get admission in choice then 16,500rs go down the drain…since they wont give a refund…so we had to make a choice…since we had no guarantee that I would get admission in choice we decided not to take the risk and go for the interview…it was really short…not much of an interview, took less than five mins. and I got it…they gave a slip of paper and told us to show it to the fee counter when we pay…and luckily we have till Monday afternoon to do that…
the odds of getting in choice aren’t all that high and since we only have till this Monday the odds are I’ll be going to TOC H…it’s a good school and stuff…at least they have a decent uniform…oh and school starts this 9th…

The flight from Jeddah to Doha was short…it was okay…didn’t have time to watch a movie since the flight was so short (there were actually a couple of good ones…I wanted to see oceans 12...) so instead I watched friends (must have been season 9 or 10…)…

Had a 7 hour layover in Doha…the airport was kinda small…not 2 bad…roamed around a lot…didn’t take long to see the whole place…after that it was just plain boring…but the 5 hour trip to kerala was actually kinda fun…chech’s friend renu and her mom were in the same flight…we forced mama to trade places with renu…it was nice...she was quite easy to talk 2…

So far its been extremely boring…chech’s college started 2 days ago…and im trying to get admission in Choice…we thought it would be a piece of cake…boy did we underestimate how hard it would be…we gave the application and stuff a few days back…and well im not in the first list…chech’s friends dad’s brother owns the school or something…well he(the father…not the brother…) called the principal and told her about me and all…she said she’ll try to put me in the second list…I guess we’re trying some other ways 2…but mama is kinda freaking out…and what little confidence I had is long gone thanks to her…
We’ve given applications to 2 other schools 2…it was just for backup…hopefully it’ll stay that way…

And thus my last day in Jeddah dawns…typical day…hot and sunny. Lots of people came…said goodbye…really sad…

Aj came early and stayed for dinner …teens had to leave early though…joe didn’t even come…I didn’t even get a chance to say a proper goodbye to him…crap…

The flights at 5p.m….guess we’ll be leaving at around 1:30( thats like in 2 hours!!)...

Im leaving my life behind here…not a very comforting thought…then again im gonna get a new life in return…guess that’s good…hopefully I wont mess it up…

Im gonna miss the people…every one of them…

Well im pissed…I couldn’t go to joe and c’s party at salt and pepper last night…all thanks to “p”nt…damn her…it isn’t fair…I only got a week left…and to think my whole gang was there…it was my last chance to see them…I cant even go to school cause of the new rules and stuff…to think they (appa and mama) could have sent me alone with aj…for once I decided not to argue or say anything back…frankly I thought they would let me go in the end…I lost hope when they said we’re going to balad…balad of all places…and I thought we’d go somewhere nice under the circumstances…

Really got angry when joe told me in the morning that the whole gang was there (I didn’t know till then)…I just got so damn pissed…and frustrated…i took it out on mom in the morning…I shouldn’t have kept my mouth shut…should have argued…this is probably gonna nag me all week…

Iv only got a week left…

kairali was held in the same place we had our big skit and stuff….it was nice….but it brought back so many memories….the last time we went to that place everyone was there…this time avi, akshay and arun weren’t….
the dance was simply awesome…the song was “half shiva half shakti” by Susheela Raman… really good…aj got the song…
the participants were…chech, aj, teens, deena, divya, mellisa, Melinda, and lini…
there was an awesome humping step which was totally cool…hehehe….just thinking about it cracks me up…hehehe…. All in all the dance was awesome and it was a huge success…did anyone doubt it wouldn’t?
I’ll post a few pics of the dance in monkey pics tomorrow…

i have no idea what came over me in my last post....i was utterly jobless….also Greek myth. sort of inspired me….

We had a party at teens place since it was Jamie’s b’day …it was nice…just the right amount of people…and Kairali got postponed to tomorrow…

And me and aj are trying really hard to get a jukebox…nothing too expensive, need a minimum of 60gb space though…we asked bala uncle abt it and he suggested a few companies…and me and aj sort of decided on the same company as teens jukebox…a higher model though…and its only available in Dubai…got to get it before the results…its all just in a “maybe” stage…

The Titans
The Titans, also known as the elder gods, ruled the earth before the Olympians overthrew them. The ruler of the Titans was Cronus who was de-throned by his son Zeus. Most of the Titans fought with Cronus against Zeus and were punished by being banished to Tartarus. During their rule the Titans were associated with the various planets.

Cronus
Cronus was the ruling Titan who came to power by castrating his Father Uranus. His wife was Rhea. There offspring were the first of the Olympians. To insure his safety Cronus ate each of the children as they were born. This worked until Rhea, unhappy at the loss of her children, tricked Cronus into swallowing a rock, instead of Zeus. When he grew up Zeus would revolt against Cronus and the other Titans, defeat them, and banish them to Tartarus in the underworld.

The Olympians
In Greek mythology, twelve gods and goddesses ruled the universe from atop Greece's Mount Olympus. These Olympians had come to power after their leader, Zeus, overthrew his father, Kronos, leader of the Titans. All the Olympians are related to one another. The Romans adopted most of these Greek gods and goddesses, but with new names.

Zeus (zoose or zyoose)
Supreme god of the Olympians, Zeus was the father of Perseus and Heracles, the latter of whom once wrestled him to a draw.
Zeus was the youngest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea. When he was born, his father Cronus intended to swallow him as he had all of Zeus's siblings: Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter and Hera. But Rhea hid the newborn in a cave on Mount Dicte in Crete. (To this day, the guides at the "cave of Zeus" use their flashlights to cast shadow puppets in the cave, creating images of baby Zeus from the myth.)

Poseidon (puh-SYE-dun or poh-SYE-dun)
Poseidon was the god of the sea, earthquakes and horses. Although he was officially one of the supreme gods of Mount Olympus, he spent most of his time in his watery domain. Poseidon was brother to Zeus and Hades.

Hades (HAY-deez)
God of the dead, ruler of the Underworld, which was accordingly known as Hades. In various adventures, Hades abducted the maiden Persephone, tricked the heroes Theseus and Peirithous and managed to get himself handcuffed by Sisyphus.
The god Hades was a dread figure to the living, who were quite careful how they swore oaths in his name. To many people, simply to utter the word "Hades" was a frightening proposition. So they made up a euphemism, a word that meant the same thing but with a more pleasant sound

The Fates
The Fates have the subtle but, awesome power of deciding a mans destiny. They assign a man to good or evil. There most obvious choice is choosing how long a man lives. There are three Fates. Clotho… the spinner, who spins the thread of life. Lachesis, the measurer, who chooses the lot in life one will have and measures off how long it is to be. Atropos… who at death with her shears cuts the tread of life.
The Fates are old and predate the gods. It is not entirely clear how far their power extends. It is possible that they determine the fate of the gods as well. In any case, not even the most powerful is willing to triffle with them.

Dolce Freddo...again...

We went to that mall again today…did some window shopping, had Chinese and then had ice cream…but this time from dolce freddo’s geletarium...found out its an italian company (said so under the cup)...…it was awesome…simply delicious…had this choclate ice cream with chunks of some cookie/cake sort of thing in it…which was definitely the best…then another choclate flav. one which was also really good…also had a weird white coloured one with some strawberry syrup on top…I didn’t like that one…tasted like sweet yogurt or something…chech liked it though...

So it’s 5 in the morning and me and chech are sleeping peacefully (at least I was) when we were rudely woken up by the sound of…well….things....falling on the top of the AC which obviously made a racket….first I thought the pigeons woke up early and decided to appify…it turned out to be a hail storm…I think this was the first time Jeddah actually had a hail storm (im not sure though…) and it rained really really heavily…

Had a party at john uncles place today…it was kinda fun…played basketball with some guys livin there…things sort of got nasty in the end but nothing happened…

Went to aj’s place to have lunch today…just me and chech…aj made chicken with pineapples…it was really good…can that girl cook or what…
We saw a bit of million dollar baby then we sort of got bored so we started seeing The Devils Advocate…it was just getting interesting when joji aunty comes into the room…and well since there were quite a few “scenes” we couldn’t exactly see it while she was around…crap…so we get back to million dollar baby…saw the first CD and then we had to leave…

Beena aunty invited me and chech for pizza hut this Monday…and to tell the truth I have no interest what so ever in going…

And Teens is coming on the 29th…susa aunty said something about trying to bring her by 28th but that’s not sure…god it’ll be good to see her again…after nearly 5 months...

Dolce Freddo

Well the party was a drag but the last 10minutes were hilarious…appa, ravi uncle and nithin uncle were all high and were crackin jokes…then they go after my mobile and start makin up stories of me and appa sharing “photos” (if u get my meaning…) through our mobiles…in the end ravi uncle begs me to show him some too…hehehe…it was hilarious…my jaw was hurtin a lot from laughin so hard…

Aj comes with us after the party. The plan was to see Constantine…but turns out after 10min it starts bitchin…so much for a good print…so we drop it…

The guy from the laptop maintenance place came over today …he was kinda nice actually…he reinstalled windows XP prof…but he saved drive D like I asked him too since all my music and setup files were in there…everything went well, laptops good as new…

In the evening we took aj out…we went to Tahalia Mall...it was awesome…we roamed around and did a lil window shoppin, then went to the food courts…they had quite a collection…we ended up having Chinese (gulf royal) and Mexican food(don’t remember the name…) was pretty good.
Then we had ice cream at movenpick’s court…reminded me of avi…they didn’t have black current though…
Here’s the sad part…we’re havin our ice cream and were searchin for a place to sit down, that’s when we saw another court…”dolce freddo”…the most colorful ice cream shop (court…whatever…) iv ever been too…it looked delicious…but we were in the process of finishing our cones…
Since we just passed by and I couldn’t exactly contain myself, I went back there to check the place out…they had quite a lot of flavors…there was this blue colored flavor which I tasted…I liked it actually…then I tasted the green stuff…it sucked…didn’t exactly have time to taste anything else…I remember there was this huge pile of appi lookin like ice cream which I really wanted to taste, then there was one with a rotten banana next to it ( a closer look implied it to be eatable…)…I don’t remember anything else except that it was all really colorful…really bright…before leaving I got to go there again…
Appa liked his coffee the best, which cost 8 bucks for a small cup and was half-empty…or half-full if I may be optimistic…
On the way out we passed the swatch shop and im not sure why but I waved at the guys at the counter and pointed at my swatch watch and the guys waved back and laughed…hehehe…overall it was a fun day…

Me and chech went to aj’s place at around 2:30...we decided to see Vanilla Sky.
We had to stop at around 5:15 cause some people came over to see joji aunty (I suppose...) so we (me, aj and chech) decided to go to Hari sir’s place since aj had to drop off some books...

Iv had 3 and a half yrs worth of memories with hari sir and good one’s too...it was nice talking to him again...we stayed there for half an hour and talked school politics...he hasn’t changed a bit...
After that we stopped at the small coffee stop...but since none of us felt like drinkin coffee we bought 3 mango shakes or juices or whatever it was...”mango and ice” as chech put it...it sucked big time...

Tomorrow afternoon there’s a party at raju uncle’s place...and I am sooooooo not lookin forward to it...its just not the right crowd....and we’re havin “rabit food” for lunch there...
The only good news is that aj is comin over after that to our place to see Constantine...

And my laptops infected with some fucking virus...i can connect to the net but cant go to any site, cant sign in in msn messenger either...first thought it was just something wrong with the settings...but turns out to be some fucking virus...well that’s what the guy at the laptop maintenance place told me...so we got to reboot the entire system...crap...

Well they left...went to there place last night....seriously sad. Could hardly talk to avi, since every 2minutes somebody left....and aj couldn’t come...and she had all the DVD CD’s. In the past 2 weeks nothing went right....i mean not one thing and we had so many things planned.

Geetha aunty was cryin her eyes out (it would have been disturbing if she didn’t), avi was on the verge of tears (he held on though), akshay obviously held on.

Avi called in the morning from the airport...i was sleeping...not that soundly though...i wanted to say bye one last time anyway...

it would have been so cool if all of us were together again...sit around and have one of those talks...what are the odds that we'll be together again under the same roof...pretty low huh...

appa was sayin somethin about goin to the states next year...im not putting my hopes up too high though...considering the fact that we'v had shit for luck the past 2weeks...but hopefully things will work out.
